In December 1991 I had a Brainstem CVA and was rated in 1993 and 1994 to be 60 percent RLE disabled and 50 percent RUE disabled by the Veterans Administration. 
My best friend's mom recently had a minor stroke and while in recovery had another major one. It has been 3 months since then and she is only now regaining some ability to speak. What kind of recovery can we expect for her? The doctors think she will be OK but it may be a year or so.
